Strictly cash are more than just a band, they are long-time fans of the legendary Johnny Cash, and it shows. Finbarr says that he can remember singing along to “40 Shades of Green” everytime it came on the radio, or wireless as it was known back then in the early 60’s .That song, and another record called “Strictly Cash”  formed the beginning of his extensive   collection of Johnny Cash recordings.

It’s plain to see that Strictly Cash enjoy every song they play, every time they play them. Their sound is as authentic as you’ll get, created by the boom-chicka-boom of the big upright bass, the clickety-clack of the drums, and stunning lead guitar mixed with acoustic guitar and vocals. So whether it be a barbecue, birthday or anniversary, a good show is promised.

The repertoire is vast, from the first hit from 1955 “Hey Porter” to the evocative “Hurt” from American Recordings. And all the duets are included, “Jackson”, “If I were a Carpenter”, Long-legged Guitar Picking Man”, “It Ain’t Me, Babe”, they’re all there.
